As the final six weeks of 2023 tax filings lie ahead of us, what are your priorities? Survive? Thrive?
In my experience this is a more stressful time of year than March or April as there is no extension option. Clients filing now either have complicated tax returns with many inbound K-1s or they are the D clients who drag their feet all year. They may owe more than we anticipated and ofcourse it is always our fault. Is your team ready?
As we work through the next six weeks, let’s look out for :
- systems that are not working,
- systems that are working and can be duplicated,
- clients that need to be off-boarded,
- clients that need fee increases for 2024,
- team members that need to be off-boarded and
- team members that need to be rewarded and or promoted. _________Thats a lot! You will be busy so keep notes as situations arise because I assure you that by October 20th, you won’t remember the exact sequence of events or results in accurate detail.
